Board owners/admins can tap into a great new source of targeted traffic and get cool web2.0 features for your forums.. just install our topic tagging mod and let your users tag threads as they create them or you can tag threads already indexed simply by using the 'thread tools' link next to each thread in BoardTracker search results.
Once you have tags on your board you can also have tag clouds! You can see a tag cloud on our index page now which shows hot topics across the whole system - you can place clouds like this on your board and you can even configure it to show only tagged threads from your board.
Tags and tagclouds are great features to help your users find related topics or the hottest threads of the moment. Also when your tagged threads are 'hot' they can appear in the tag cloud on our index page plus on all tag clouds showing on all other boards using the system (except that choose to only show their own tag data in the clouds).
So if you are not tagging yet, your board AND your users are missing out - its time to hop aboard the web2.0 juggernaut!
